Ive got to correct my last quote: it was not the windows manager that I started but only the Xfree-server directly. @roberts: is this exactly your .xserverrc? exec /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 -nolisten tcp
When I trie to log in as user DSL I will get this errors:
xinit: No such file or directory (errno2): unable to connect to X server xinit: No such process (errno 2): Server error
Before the log in another console is starting xdm. When I log in as root user, DSL is starting "normally" in VGA
-------------- Vaio C1VN, Libretto 100CT, Portege 3020CT (all of them with DSL 3.x), Eee PC with Xandros Linux, a lot of Handheld PCs and other Mac and PC stuff!
