Hi All,

I have a Targus USB Hub with 2 USB sticks.

DSL 2.2b

Boot from Live CD and the usb sticks are not recognized! They do not light up.

Boot from floppy and both usb sticks are recognized and show up in the graphical mounter! They light up.

Anyone know why the difference?

Best Regards,

Joe

Maybe you need a syslinux version of DSL. That acts more like a floppy on certain equipment.

What is a syslinux version of DSL? Where can I find info on it and get it? Can it run as a Live CD?

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, it runs as a live CD, but boots differently from the isolinux versions. They are found wherever DSL can be downloaded - here for example:

Thank you very much for all your help. I will try syslinux.

Can a usb stick be used as a backup/restore drive?
