I prefer JWM to Fluxbox, the reason being that i find that right clicking on the desktop is a dumb way to bring up the main menu. I'm not saying that i particularly like the start menu idea (i like the gnome menus at the top too).

I use jwm myself.  not so much for style but for speed. I noticed on my crappy laptop that it loaded much faster and took up a bit less memory.  I never really notice on my desktop but I know its there.

Personally, that is my reaction to the "Start" button idea inherited from Win95, etc. - why should I have to move my mouse pointer to the corner of the screen, just to access a menu item? At least with the "right mouse button anywhere" option, I can bring up the menu where I want it, not where the MS 'model' says I should.

Still, it's down to personal taste. I wouldn't say that the MS Windows interface model is "wrong"; just that I prefer another way of doing things when I have the choice. And at least Linux gives you that choice... :D

FluxBox was the first windowing system I ever used with linux.
And still is.

My first experience was with Gentoo linux and I chosed Fluxbox for its wm because it's lightness and features.
