I've been trying to get this to work butROX filer need gdkpixbufs to work. If anyone can make this go without apt get let me know. I use ROX filer on my Slackware 8.1/Windowmaker box and love it.
Linux only needs five things to rule the world- great hardware detection, easy installation, a good browser, good filer, a good PPP setup program and oh, SIX a coherent, intelligible help system!

I guess the web site was wrong. In addition to the gtk libraries, you also need the GDK pixbuf image library.

According to the Debian website, is is available for installation.

Try going here:

Good Luck.
